Facts About The Eastern Screech Owl
  •  A small owl only  6.3 to 9.8 inches in length and weighing only 4.3–8.6 oz, with a wingspan from 18 to 24 inches
  • They are strictly nocturnal, perching all day in a tree cavity or as close to a tree trunk as possible, blending in making them difficult to find
  • They can be found throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico
  • Living in mostly wooded areas, though have adapted to heavily populated ares
  • Have been nicknamed ‘feathered wildcat’ as they can be ferocious
